About Piggie

I grew up with a veritable ark. At one time we had 14 cats, 4 dogs, 6 chickens, 5 goats, 2 finches, 2 aquatic frog, 1 eel, 3 rabbits, 4 guinea pigs, countless mice, fish and turtles.
When I met my wife, Sandy, she had one cat. And though we had always wanted a house full of cats, Piggie wanted to be the only cat in his house. For we did choose him, he adopted us. One day he just walked through our front door and made us his family. He was truly the most wonderful of God's creature I had ever known.
Only after Piggie died this past January, could we consider more babies. And with the huge hole left by Piggies' absence, we knew we'd need a lot of new Cats.
Kinoko, Shortcake, Swinger, Tag and Ty have been true lifesavers.
We adore them so much that I have installed shelves of differing lengths at staggered levels all the around the bedroom, so that they can run all the way around the room; or sleep at various heights with a bird's eye view.
We were so excited when they all wanted to sleep with us, that we replace our Queen-sized bed with a King and a Twin pulled together.
I know our coworkers are ready to kill us with all of our constant "Kitty This," and "Kitty That" but we can help it. Our lives are entirely structured around them-It's great!
But suffice it to say, these beautiful Cats have been therapy, medication and pure joy. I wish to thank everyone at the Wake County SPCA, especially the many volunteers, all of whom kept these cats happy and healthy enough to transition into our home so easily.
My wife and I are sincerely appreciative.
Thank you!
